Rules of Ihram

It's like a uniform that reminds them they are on a sacred journey. For men, it's two simple white sheets, and for women, it's modest attire. While in Ihram, they can't do certain things like cutting their hair or nails, wearing perfume, or fighting. It's a time to be peaceful, patient, and respectful to others. This special state starts at certain points before they reach Mecca and lasts until they finish their pilgrimage rituals.
