Masjid-Al-Khayf is located at the foothills in the southern part of Mina. Quite close to the smallest Jamarat, the mosque is at the spot where Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and many other Prophets before him performed Salah.

According to a Hadith that Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said:

“Seventy Prophets prayed in Masjid-Al-Khayf.” [Majma‘uz-Zawahid]

The old structure of the mosque has been reconstructed and expanded to accommodate 25,000 pilgrims.
